CSIR Fellows play a key role in helping to steer the CSIR in various scientific and technological directions. A CSIR Fellow is a scientist, technical specialist or engineer who is appointed on merit by the CSIR President. The appointment of Fellows primarily recognises their international leadership in their field of technical expertise. Leadership contributions both inside and outside the CSIR are also taken into account.
