InfoSource Service

An information service that offers:

  • Access to a collection of reference works on science technology & business information;
  • Access to CSIR journal (and other) collections where applicable
  • Information searches on local databases by an information professional
  • Training to do your own searching on the CSIR/University of Pretoria Library System
  • Referral service to help you obtain answers to queries
  • Two membership cards will be issued, which you will control
  • Five hundred pages of A4 photocopies
  • Five books may be borrowed simultaneously for a period of six weeks
  • Convenient entry point to the CSIR's wide range of services
  • Information delivery by e-mail, phone, fax or post- as preferred.

Please note:

  • Electronic searches on non-local databases are not included. These can be arranged at extra cost
  • Document provision from external sources is excluded, but can be arranged through our DocDel services
  • Book loans from South African libraries can be arranged at an additional cost
  • Additional value-added services can be negotiated.
