Simulators

The Countermeasure Simulation (CmSim) and the Optronic Scene Simulator (OSSIM) systems are two rendering based simulators that use a common library of models developed from measurements and experiments. The simulators create scenes of real-world scenarios, complete with terrain, trees, buildings, roads and other objects. These rendered scenes provide scientists and engineers with radiometrically correct images suitable for radiometry research and image processing algorithm development. The Simulators are built using cross-platform libraries such as: wxWidgets, Openscenegraph and OpenGL. The rest of the code employ ISO C++ and MATLAB Simulink. These simulators run on a cluster computer system. The cluster has 8 nodes, each has 2 3GHz CPUs and 2GB of memory. The nodes are connected using Gigabit Ethernet.
