Experimental radar systems group

The experimental radar systems group focuses on research and development activities required to develop new radar technology demonstrators, provide operational test and evaluation support and leverage the new technology demonstrators as facilities in the international operational test and evaluation market. The group has a multi-disciplinary personnel complement whose composition closely resembles that of the experimental EW systems group. The close relationship with the research and applications group provides direction to the technology base that maximises the supply of new operational test and evaluation offerings to the local environment. The group has contributed significantly during the past two years to a number of technology demonstrators. The most notable achievement was the successful development and commissioning of the MecORT facility in close collaboration with the local radar industry. As with the experimental EW group, the group also utilises international contracts to further the local capability.
