Systems engineers gather at fifth annual conference
The South African chapter of the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) held its 5th annual conference (12 - 14 August), graced by international delegates, at the CSIR. The conference theme was Systems Engineering Success Stories and Lessons Learned.
CSIR aeronautics engineer named secretary for supersonic tunnel's association
The CSIR's Sean Tuling has been appointed as secretary for the Supersonic Tunnel Association, International (STAI) at a meeting held at the Arnold Engineering Development Centre in Tennessee, USA. He takes over from John Micol of NASA's Langley Research Centre.
CSIR participates in continued security preparations for Soccer World Cup 2010
Security preparations for the 2010 Soccer World Cup has continued with some of the most elite members and units within the security forces enacting certain aspects of emergency contingency planning to neutralise any form of airborne, seaborne and landward threat. The CSIR's command, control and information warfare group participated in the most recent exercise in Port Elizabeth.
