Distinguished scientist from India to share knowledge with CSIR
An esteemed scientist from India, Dr Jitendra Raol, will spend the next 14 months at the CSIR, specifically in the mobile intelligence autonomous systems (MIAS) emerging research area, to share his expertise and give guidance to this relatively newly-formed group.
High-speed vehicle developed that can manipulate rough terrain with ease
Vehicle dynamics specialist Professor Schalk Els from the University of Pretoria is currently on a three-month sabbatical at the CSIR mobile intelligence autonomous systems group. He applied to ensure that he is part of the advancement in robotic technology and machine intelligence that is being developed at the CSIR.
