CSIR patents new technology for genetic modification
The CSIR and Pioneer Hi-Bred Inc have jointly filed two patent applications for two novel technologies that promise to enhance the efficiency of genetic transformation of plants for scientific research and plant breeding.
New hi-tech facility for sensitive HIV and TB research
CSIR research into new drugs against HIV/Aids and TB will be taken to a higher level once the establishment of a new facility for experiments conducted with live strains of the pathogens, is completed later this year.
