600 MHz nuclear magnetic resonance instrument commissioned
Three months after the signing of a memorandum of agreement between the CSIR and the University of South Africa (Unisa) for collaborative research and biotechnology skills transfer, scientists have started with preparations to operate the newly acquired nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) instrument.
CSIR researchers and traditional healers collaborate
"The word 'incurable' does not exist in our vocabulary as traditional healers, we are still waiting for someone to introduce that word to us," said traditional health practitioner Rammolai Phaka during a recent engagement with CSIR researchers.
