The CSIR laser rental pool conducts collaborative and innovative research with the intent of exposing researchers to laser technology.
Laser research is cross-cutting in nature and the research areas supported through the Rental Pool Programme (RPP) can relate to a specific focus in engineering, chemistry, nanotechnology, agriculture, biotechnology, cancer, clinical medicine, dentistry, drug discovery, genetics, immunology, molecular biology, neuroscience, microbiology, pharmacology, physiotherapy, pathology, somatology or metrology.
Research in support of the CSIR’s laser research foci is also considered for support. This includes research into laser material processing, biophotonics, laser systems and ultra-short science spectroscopy.
