  • Development of advanced generation commercial pine germplasm

    1. Pine breeding platform with York Timbers

  • Collaborative development of advanced generation eucalypt hybrid germplasm for company specific sites and end uses.

    1. Development of novel, highly-desirable eucalypt pulp hybrids

    1. Project Pulp with NCT (partly funded by Innovation Fund)

    1. Development of improved eucalypt hybrid germplasm with ITC Ltd in India. This initiative focuses on the vision of ITC Ltd. to deploy genetic material with 20% improvement in growth by 2013.

    2. Development of strategies and germplasm for drought-tolerant hybrids in marginal areas. A collaborative project with US, ENSIS, ANU & ACIAR

    3. Development of solid wood hybrids for Northern Timbers

    4. Development of germplasm for dune rehabilitation for RBM minerals

  • Development of polyploid eucalypts and potentially sterile eucalypt genotypes (ACIAR)

  • Production of high volume E.grandis and E.urophylla commercial seed
