The CSIR for learners

The CSIR is the place where all the really great experiments take place and cool gadgets are being built! Well, while that description is not wrong, we are probably best described as a South African organisation that does research in a wide variety of fields – it’s called multidisciplinary research. All the research that we do are of value to the people of South Africa – it should make their lives better.
