The Global Research Alliance (GRA)

The Global Research Alliance (GRA) is a network of some 50 000 scientists and engineers with expertise in a wide range of disciplines, who are committed to the promotion of science, technology and innovation in development. The objective of the Alliance is to undertake research and find solutions to the most intractable global problems, which cannot be addressed by any one organisation alone. The Alliance has nine members from well-known and respected organisations around the world. With vast regional knowledge and spread, the Alliance members are able to put teams together to work in any part of the world on joint research and development projects, as well as on the promotion of highly innovative projects.

The CSIR is a founder member of the Alliance and plays a key role in its advancement.
