The Regional Research Alliance (RRA)

The Regional Research Alliance (RRA) has a membership comprising three major knowledge-intensive organisations from the southern African region. The focus of the Alliance is on multi-faceted, cross-functional activities, currently focusing on water and food security; energy and building; and construction and infrastructure. The objective of this Alliance is to promote, pursue and implement projects with high regional impact, relevance and benefit to the people of the region; to create synergy by pooling resources; to develop regional knowledge networks; and to enhance regional capabilities through human resource development and sharing of best practices.

The CSIR is a founder member of this Alliance and plays an important strategic role as one of the largest S&T organisations in the region.
