Welcome to the skills development programme of the CSIR's Synthetic Biology emerging research area (ERA).
This area of research addresses the national and international priority health-related problems.
The research that is conducted within the ERA is multidisciplinary and involves all the fields of the biological sciences as well as understanding physics, chemistry, engineering and mathematical modelling.
To undertake this exciting, cutting-edge and very demanding research, a specific skills development programme has been developed to support students.
This programme is called SynBioTic and focuses on:
