- Monitoring and evaluating the impact of CSIR R&D programmes
- Developing and managing the CSIR’s impact monitoring and evaluation system
- Providing guidance and support to the R&D community on impact monitoring and evaluation
- Publishing on the CSIR’s impact monitoring
- Participating in impact monitoring and evaluation nationally, continentally and internationally
- Collaborating with national and international bodies to pursue achievement of the region's objectives
- Providing leadership through the development of appropriate strategies, policies and management systems for the CSIR.
