Dr Susan Oelofse

CSIR Principal Researcher

Oelofse’s research interests include the institutional and legal framework within which waste is managed in South Africa, waste information and data, re-use of industrial waste streams, reducing the environmental impacts of waste, food waste and South Africa’s transition to a circular economy.

Full Profile

Oelofse holds a PhD in botany from the University of Johannesburg. Her key competencies are in waste management and integrated water resources management.
