Gumede’s research interests are in understanding the mechanisms that drive chronic inflammation and fibrosis, including skin, lung and cardiac fibrosis, using stem cell-derived models.
Panayides’ research interests lie in medicinal chemistry and the application of high throughput screening of natural product extracts and synthetic compounds to focus lead discovery efforts.
