Brovko’s interest are in the application of geophysical techniques and inter-disciplinary research in mining for the optimal extraction of ore and the improvement of health and safety.
Brovko is geophysicist who joined the CSIR in 2013. . Her industry experience with a leading international mining house has given her a sound understanding of both open-pit and underground mining operations in platinum, coal and diamond environments. She successfully implemented geophysical techniques in both green-fields and brown-fields exploration, which added significant value in ore body delineation, mine expansion, risk mitigation and in-mine safety.
