Good data management makes research easier
About the session
Data management refers to the organisation, storage and preservation of data created during a research project. It covers initial planning, day-to-day processes and long-term archiving and sharing.
The cornerstone of data management is the creation of a data management plan (DMP). The DMP is a document outlining how you intend to handle your data as you perform your research.
This awareness session will assist emerging researchers understand the basics of data management, provide insight into the need for data management and guide researchers toward the use of an online DMP tool to create a DMP.
