Le Roux holds an MSc in microbiology from the University of Pretoria. His area of interests lie in the application of novel molecular techniques in studying and understanding bacteria and applying the knowledge in mitigating the risks associated with water-borne microbes and also finding environmental bioremediation solutions that exploit their beneficial properties.
