Van Schoor’s area of interest lies in using geophysical methods to solve a wide range of problems in mining and groundwater studies.
Brovko’s interest are in the application of geophysical techniques and inter-disciplinary research in mining for the optimal extraction of ore and the improvement of health and safety.
Fleckson’s research interests include mining performance improvement, occupational health and safety (OHS), OHS culture transformation/management, OHS risk management, change management (including technology adoption), impact assessments, studies to facilitate progressive modernisation of the mining sector, technology road mapping, skills road mapping, techno-economic assessments, socio-economic assessments and sustainability related studies in the mining sector.
Sehlabana’s interests lie in mining safety and regulatory compliance, particular in the closed circuit-respiratory protective devices.
