Full Profile

Refiloe Mokoena holds a Master of Engineering in civil engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits University). Her research interest and application are concerned with sustainable development in the field of transport infrastructure, in particular, adaptation and resilience of South African roads against the impacts of climate change. Her work is aimed at providing cost-effective and sustainable solutions to road design and construction. She has seven years of research and development experience and two years of experience as a junior consulting structural engineer. She has contributed to various multidisciplinary research projects that provide innovative, sustainable solutions to challenges in the industry. Refiloe has authored and co-authored several papers and technical reports. She is currently registered as a Candidate Professional Engineer with Engineering Council of South Africa.
