Ebrahim’s passion for problem solving, coupled with his interest in pattern recognition, has led him into the innovative field of computer sciences and programming. His journey has also provided an avenue for him to take a keen interest in business development and social welfare. Ebrahim’s current interest lies in distributed ledger technology and how it presents solutions that were not possible before.

Ebrahim Saith joined the CSIR in 2013 as an intern within the biometrics group for safety and security. With good leadership, mentoring and focussed attention, he was quickly promoted to a skilled developer position for the then Modelling and Digital Sciences unit of the CSIR. He worked on several successful projects and presented solutions to national CSIR partners during that time.

In 2017, Ebrahim joined the private sector by working for an international recognised company, which allowed him to travel, work on and lead several projects, which included IoT, radar, base-station/light-house configuration, messaging services, data science and AIS-Maritime-specific tool sets.

The projects and modules that he led and those that he was part off are successfully implemented in many major maritime ports around the world.

It was during this time that his programming languages skillset diversified and his interest in business development grew.

In 2022, he re-joined the CSIR as a senior developer in the cutting-edge space of distributed ledger technology.

Ebrahim is motivated with eight years of development and sales experience. He is innovative, creative and takes the initiative to get the job done. He is a proactive team player with strong interpersonal skills.

Expertise: Distributed Ledger Technologies (Blockchain), Data Science and Analytics, Internet of things (IoT), Biometrics, Automatic Identification Systems (AIS) Maritime tool sets (Satellite Messaging services, radar integration), Business Analysis and communication and Software development.
