Our capabilities

Our capabilities include:

People working
Transport finance and economic modelling

We focus on the economic and financial modelling of transport projects by analysing pricing structures, funding mechanisms and economic impacts of transport systems to inform equitable, efficient policy decisions and support sustainable infrastructure investment across public and private sectors. Our capability bridges the gap between technical transport knowledge with tariff analysis to promote financially sustainable, equitable and efficient planning through evidence-based economic decision-making.

Transport planning and modelling

We provide technical, analytical and strategic skills required to evaluate, design and manage transportation systems effectively. Our capability serves as a vital tool for city planning by aligning transport systems with socioeconomic objectives, leveraging travel demand models and accurately simulating demand and supply under different scenarios to guide strategic decision-making and urban development. We help to enhance transport planning by analysing travel behaviour and estimating environmental impacts to support more efficient, responsive and sustainable mobility solutions.

Infrastructure masterplans

We develop infrastructure master plans to guide the planning, development and maintenance of infrastructure focusing on its implementation in the short term and long-term period by considering Infrastructure performance targets established for each sector with emphasis on metrics such as availability, acceptability, affordability, and sustainability. This is coupled with the development of an interactive dashboard designed to visualise the status of infrastructure and access predictive insights for future performance.

Designing optimal public transport networks

Our multidisciplinary team delivers data-driven scientific research solutions that promote the development of multi-modal and strategic approaches that prioritise user-centric design, integrated services and efficient operations. We use multidisciplinary research capabilities to develop technical standards and concept designs of future economic hubs, intermodal public transport facilities and transport services centres that can deliver outcomes that are beneficial to decision-making processes, transport authorities, transport operators, transport and urban planners, as well as communities. In doing so, we support sustainable transport infrastructure development, improved service delivery and accessibility.
