Geo-location Spectrum Database (GLSD)
The Geo-location Spectrum Database enables shared spectrum broadband networks.
Shared spectrum broadband networks
The Geo-location Spectrum Database enables shared spectrum broadband networks. The GLSD technology operates by responding to a white space device (WSD) query, whereby the WSD sends technical parameters such as location, height of antenna, and emission class. By applying standard based algorithms the GLSD intelligently calculates and furnishes the WSD with operational parameters (OPs) that could be used without causing harmful interference to the incumbent users at a given locality. The OPs may include, but are not limited to the frequency to be used and corresponding maximum allowed transmit power levels.
