Mauro Morelli

CSIR principal researcher

Morelli’s engineering interests lie in the operation of a suite of wind tunnels, with a special focus on design and execution of experimental aerodynamic testing in the subsonic, transonic and supersonic speed regimes.

Full Profile

Mauro holds a Dott Ing degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Pisa in Italy. He joined the CSIR in 1990 and has been part of the Aeronautics Impact Area involved in experimental aerodynamics since then. He has been the research group leader for experimental aerodynamics research and wind tunnel facilities manager since 2006. Morelli has produced over 60 contract reports and co-authored eight publications with international researchers.
