The CSIR Charity Golf Day
2025 marks the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR)’s 80th anniversary and to celebrate this auspicious milestone, the organisation will proudly host its Charity Golf Day under the theme ”18 holes for 80th” taking place on 31 October 2025 at the Blue Valley Golf Club in Midrand.
The CSIR Charity Golf Day aims to encourage and fortify the learning experience of mathematics and science in underprivileged rural communities, by donating learning materials, supporting the educators and ensuring a brighter future for learners. Through this collaborative effort, the CSIR with your help hopes to unlock the full potential of learners thus attracting them into science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and innovation careers.
We will have an exclusive use of the course and expect a hundred and forty-four players and some guests who will join us for the prize-giving dinner.

The Blue Valley Golf & Country Club boasts an 18-hole Gary Player designed championship golf course. The golf club is very conveniently situated midway between Johannesburg & Pretoria just off the N1 within the Blue Valley Golf & Country Estate.

As the golf day sponsor, the event presents a platform for organisations to promote their brands alongside the CSIR, give back to underprivileged schools, and strategic network with other players and organisations that will be present on the day, fostering relationships with those in attendance. We commit to acknowledge your organisation’s contribution accordingly, for the sponsorship received.
All donated funds will be ring-fenced and distributed to the beneficiaries through CSIR’s CSI Office. Every donation is tax-deductible, and we will provide a receipt for your records.
