Supporting our own technology development
An example of this expertise was demonstrated when CSIR radar and electronic warfare experts completed the Inundu pod. Aerospace, colleagues evaluated it in the CSIR’s medium-speed wind tunnel prior to flight trials. Inundu is a multi-purpose, modular pod that can be integrated with a fast jets for training, testing and evaluation or prototype payload development. It provides a protected environment for prototypes or unqualified payloads in flight. Its robustness, as well as its potential impact on the carrier craft, was tested and approved.
