Solar SSD

SolarAIDD

SolarAIDD is an AI-driven, end-to-end platform that automates electroluminescence (EL) image analysis of solar photovoltaic (PV) modules. With the rapid expansion of the solar industry, automated EL analysis is essential for improving manufacturing efficiency, reducing maintenance costs, and optimising solar plant performance. SolarAIDD helps stakeholders increase throughput, enhance defect detection, and improve procurement and maintenance decisions. Its processing time is approximately 30 seconds (depending on image size). It identifies and quantifies 14 defect types and 15 PV features at the cell, module, and batch level, transforming unstructured EL images into actionable data. For more information, contact @email.

One Food Risk Tool

The One Food Risk Tool (OFRT) is a software tool that assesses the impact of animal, plant, human and environmental hazards (as part of the One Health global programme) on food production systems in South Africa. Developed by CSIR in partnership with Cefas, the tool aims to assist scientists and policy makers to facilitate evidence-based decision-making to mitigate the impacts of hazards which affect health, food production, food sustainability and food security.

The MetaCare platform delivers accessible, high-quality virtual health and wellness services globally. We securely connect communities with expert diagnosis and basic treatment in immersive virtual environments, designed for post-pandemic needs. Users create avatars to access secure virtual spaces for private consultations and group and community engagements. There is integrated payment functionality (blockchain) to ensure security, transparency, and trusted collaboration.
