The Operational Command Centre (OCC) Asset and Fleet Management System, designed by the CSIR, serves as a decision support tool providing clients with situational awareness for effective and efficient management of operational assets and personnel safety. Featuring a 24/7/365 live-tracking and monitoring capability, this system provides continuous visibility into owned assets and fleet. It enables customers to generate detailed reports on fleet diagnostics, as well as on the health and status of their assets and fleet.

The Optronic Sensor Systems (OSS) group from the CSIR has developed an Infrared (IR) Electronic Countermeasure (ECM) training tool for this purpose. The ECM trainer allows the student to interact with different scenarios and learn what works and what doesn’t. Typically, military personnel discuss effective ways that an approaching threat can be defeated, and this is done over chalkboard discussions
